Moving Art in the School’s began! After months of planning and scheduling, Carla Tucker and Sheila Vecchiarelli, launched the first set of In The School’s programmes. Sheila diligently travelled to schools from Bradford to Bracebridge instructing dance, and integrated arts programmes to approximately 10 schools the first year.
Moving Art, still housed in the basement of Carla’s house, continues to grow. School programmes continue with the addition of School Show Tours. Michael Holland and Isaac Haig become an integral part of the company writing programmes and shows as well as instructing.
Casually known as ‘The Centre’, Moving Art has a new home at 125 Anne Street South! With construction underway and term programs running in 12 week sessions, Moving Art has approximately 50 students.
Moving Art goes full force with two departments: The Dance Department, and the Drama Department. Classes are offered full year, as well as the introduction of the Triple Threat Program!
The Dance and Drama Departments expand to include two Triple Threat Programs-Junior and Senior, as well as Dance exams and Dance Competitions.
Moving Art finds itself adding many performing opportunities for the students. At over 10 performances per season, Moving Art creates The Loft Art Space!
